It's A Brand New Year

Like many other mere mortals, I have drawn up a list of New year resolutions which I (fingers crossed !) hope to put into action in the days, weeks and months to come. One of the resolutions on my list is probably on the lists of many millions of other living souls ... i.e. to stop procrastinating on all matters big or small.

Over time and upon reflection, I have come to realize that I could have made a lot more money, avoided a lot of unnecessary hassles and expenditure if only I had acted immediately when an issue or a business opportunity first came to my knowledge or attention. I know that it is definitely easier said than done, but this year I am really, really going to try my guts out in terms of taking immediate action and getting rid of the human tendency to procrastinate.

One sad incident that is etched in my mind was my failure to make it in time to visit a very close friend of mine on the day he passed away. I had the opportunity to visit him for the last time in the morning on that fateful day, but I procrastinated and told myself that it would be alright to visit him in the evening. Guess what? My mate died before I could get to the hospital. I deeply regret giving in to procrastination. I am determined to exterminate the slightest urge to procrastinate from hereon. I hope all of you out there who are in the habit of procrastinating will share my resolve in taking action at the first opportunity in order to break free from the clutches of procrastination.
